IPL doesnt require any introduction to cricket world and its no different in NZ either.. thank GOD sky TV does cover the IPL.. so, the new season in a weekend away and amid the Rugby madness its goin to give me to talk about something i do understand not to mention that i tried to understand rugby for years without any success..
it makes even more intersting this time when it has a connection to the place you live..with the signing of Canterbarian Shane Bond and that too for a whopping price …(we arent cheap skates at Knight Riders) and we had to anyway since Shane Bond, is one of the best bowler NZ has ever produced ..
and after all knight riders needed someone like Bondy after the disaterous season in 09, thanks to the hopeless captaincy of Brendon McCallum( you have to be since he lost 8 matches in last over) and ridculous coaching and strategic tactics of John buchanan.. Thankfully!! first in not captain and latter is sacked..
so , sourav is back as captain and most exciting thing is that we have got the bondy and if the current season is anything to go by , bond is going to help us win us some matches for sure ..
its going to be great fun watching for next 7 weeks and will make of great office chats if bondy does well
but for the moment he can proudly say name is rider shane rider!!!
